Recipe of Sesame-Crusted Tuna Tataki

 

The Sesame-Crusted Tuna Tataki is a different way to enjoy the finest fish! Tuna is highly nutritious and may provide a number of health benefits, but you may wonder whether eating it raw is safe. Raw tuna may contain parasites that can cause foodborne illness in humans. But these can usually be eliminated by cooking or freezing. Freezing raw fish for at least 24-48 hours is a safe way to keep it free of parasites. Frozen tuna should be defrosted in the refrigerator before consumption.

Ingredientes
 300 g tuna
 170 ml soy sauce
 40 ml vinegar
 Sesame seeds
 Sesame oil
 Wasabi
 Ginger
 Algas o brotes de cebolla

In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, ginger, vinegar and sesame oil. Set aside.

Cut the piece of tuna in a long taco and put it in the soy sauce mixture. Let it marinate for an hour.

Take the tuna. Pour in the marinade in a pan over medium heat. Cook it until reduced.

Place the sesame seeds on a plate. Dip the tuna into sesame seeds, pressing to adhere.

Heat a frying pan on high heat. When very hot, place the tuna on for 30 seconds on each side, depending on the thickness. Remember that it has to be almost raw inside.

Using a very sharp knife, cut the tuna thinly, about 0,5 cm.

Serving

On a larger platter put onion sprouts. Over put the slices or tuna. Drizzle over the sauce.
